The Centre for NaMo Studies (CNMS) is envisioned as a leading academic and research-oriented institution committed to advancing rigorous scholarship on contemporary models of nation-building and governance. In this regard, the Centre proposes to undertake the following academic and research activities:
(a) To carry out systematic, interdisciplinary research on evolving models of nation-building, with a focus on governance frameworks, institutional reforms, development strategies, leadership practices, and their socio-economic outcomes.
(b) To critically examine and define the conceptual foundations and practical dimensions of secularism, liberal democracy, non-alignment, and social justice as they operate in the Indian context, with the objective of developing clear analytical parameters that can assist policy-makers in designing more effective, inclusive, and evidence-based public policies.
(c) To establish and strengthen institutional linkages with non-governmental organizations, research bodies, think tanks, and academic institutions working in related fields, enabling the generation and dissemination of authentic data, empirical research, and enhanced knowledge resources for the benefit of policy-makers, scholars, and the general public.
